Genesis 127

in collaboration with Alden Hallak

A master copy of Jean-Auguste Dominique Ingres’ “Virgin of the Adoption” from 1858, mounted in a pine box. When the viewer approaches the Madonna, and makes eye contact with her, she prints a personalized icon for them on thermal receipt paper. An image of them in that moment, from her view, with a blessing attached. These blessing say “Your attendance has been recorded, God be with you” or “You were made at [date, time]”.
